Overview
Let’s be honest, if you’re a bus-hater, then chances are Crouch End may not be for you. But if you can look past that, Crouch End is a lovely place, often described as an urban village. We can see why.
Surrounded by greenery such as Finsbury Park, Highgate Woods and Alexandra Palace, you’ll instantly feel like you’ve left the hustle and bustle of the city. If the streets of Crouch End aren’t lined with beautiful victorian houses (with equally beautiful coloured doors), then you’ll find loads of independent cafes, shops, restaurants and of course, a good ol’ pub. People of Crouch End are proud, and they’re proud of it’s charm, partly because it’s not the easiest place to get to (except for the beloved bus) - but with so much happening in the area, and full of creativity and a warm community, the lack of tube and train doesn’t seem relevant when there’s parks to be walked in, on your doorstep.
